GDPR Compliance

The EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into force on 25th May 2018. It replaces the Data Protection Act and all organisations have to comply with these regulations. Therefore it is important that you are aware of what we do with the data we collect, why we process it and who we share it with. Hadrian Academy is a registered data controller with the ICO. The privacy notices at the bottom of the page below outline what you can expect when the school collects your information.

Data Collected for School Use
Management Information systems
We only collect the information that we need for the day to day running of the school.
The school endeavours to collect data fairly and lawfully.
Personal data for staff, students and parents is held within our Management Information System (our MIS is Capita SIMS:

We also use SIMs to send student data to the government (Census, Exams..).

We use a cloud solution called PMX Parentmail for online school payment. Their privacy policy is available here:

Staff and school finance are internally held within the Capita SIMS software as well as through EPM, its HR and Payroll advisor. Their privacy policy is available here:

Third party Software/Cloud Solutions
Partial relevant data are used in other pieces of software to grant identification and provide login. For example:

Tapestry Online learning journal for EYFS:

Network Data is being backed up overnight using an automated external hard drive system.

Closed-circuit television (CCTV)
We collect CCTV on site for security and safeguarding reasons. It is not accessed by third parties however law enforcement agencies may request footage as part of an investigation.
