Hadrian Academy

Welcome to Year 4 at Hadrian Academy we hope that you are looking forward to this year.

Your teachers are Mrs Hanson who will teach Giraffe Class and Miss Smith who will teach Elephant Class.

Our teaching assistants are Mrs MacEwen and Mrs Norris. Additional support being provided by teaching assistants Mrs Boylan and Mrs Ionita.

P.E.

We have P.E. lessons on a Thursday each week in year 4. Your child needs to wear their P.E. kit to school. This will include their house t-shirt, jumper, navy tracksuit bottoms, royal blue shorts and black trainers.

Communication

We welcome any questions you have and the best time to catch us is usually after school. Please check your Parentmail account regularly for letters, reminders and upcoming events. Thank you

Lunchtime

Lunchtime is from 12.15pm to 1.15pm. A daily register is taken for children to have either a school dinner or packed lunch. School dinners are charged at £2.35 per meal and payments are to be made via your ParentPay account.

Educational Visits

In Year 4 children have the opportunity of going on a residential visit to Grafham Waters. This is a fabulous experience for the children and is extremely well run by the centre. The children talk about it for years afterwards!

This year the children thoroughly enjoyed the visit to Grafham Water. They took part in a variety of challenging activities which helped to develop working as a team and as individuals. We were blessed with exceptional weather, which enabled us to develop our skills on the water. These included whammel sailing, canoeing and power boating. We can’t wait to go back next year!
