I am delighted to welcome you to our school community. My name is Kasia Stern, and with nearly 20 years of experience in education, I am passionate about supporting and fostering excellence in every part of school life.
Hadrian Academy is incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated team of leaders, teachers, and support staff whose hard work and passion guide our school each day. Having watched two of my own children flourish here, I chose to remain involved in the school they love. I have served on the Governing Body since April 2025, contributing my experience to support and strengthen the school. Our talented staff work closely together to provide an outstanding standard of education for every pupil.
Governors serve four-year terms, with the option to renew, providing stability and a clear vision for the future. As Trustees of the Academy, we hold overall responsibility for the school’s performance, while the Principal oversees day-to-day operations. We work closely together to ensure that our shared aims and ethos remain central to everything we do. Our responsibilities include appointing senior leaders, managing finances, maintaining a balanced curriculum, and monitoring the school environment and personnel matters. We also prioritise the effective use of Pupil Premium funding, ensuring that every child who requires additional support receives it. To uphold the highest standards, external specialists are regularly engaged to audit our processes and ensure compliance with DfE requirements.
At Hadrian Academy, our passion for education and strong leadership shape the school’s future. Open communication, collaboration, and strong relationships with staff, parents, and the wider community remain central to our approach. We aim to foster an inclusive, caring environment where every pupil can thrive. While we encourage all pupils to reach their full potential, we also recognise that some may need extra support - and we are committed to providing this within a safe and nurturing school culture.
Our curriculum is continually evolving across all areas of learning, encompassing both indoor and outdoor activities, as well as whole-school experiences such as choir and assemblies. Our school website offers a fantastic insight into the wide range of learning opportunities and events that take place each day.
Our most recent OFSTED inspection rated us “Good,” and we are confident that during their next visit we will demonstrate the high standards and continuous improvements underway at Hadrian Academy. We firmly believe that our school will continue to grow, flourish, and achieve. With the guidance and expertise of our staff and governors, we will continue to build on our successes and embrace opportunities that prepare our pupils for happy and successful futures.
